"Scarlett helps you through the real estate maze." When you enter the real estate market either as a buyer or seller you don't want to be treated like a face in the crowd. You want professional answers and service from someone you can trust. I strive to conduct my business and personal life in a moral, ethical and professional manner. One of the many reasons I choose to work with the team at Advantage Real Estate is the reputation they have achieved as being top in the field, professional and highly ethical. Being raised in the Midwest, one of the most important things my parents taught my brother, sister and I was to be honest and live our lives in an ethical manner. I remember a number of times being reminded by my parents that "you need to be able to look your self in the mirror every day of your life. So, do your very best and live your life right!" Another lesson I remember was a conversation regarding working in sales. My parents cautioned me that sales is a highly competitive field. Their advice to me was to sell something you believe in and sell the best product on the market. With those lessons in mind and my real estate license I set out to establish myself with a brokerage, and if I was to go with the best, that meant I must get with the best team. That could only be the Advantage Real Estate Professionals. I have been thankful since my first day! I have always had an interest in real estate but for several reasons never pursued it. Then a few years ago when I was managing a fishing lodge in Alaska, a group of real estate agents from California stayed and fished. Surprisingly enough, talk swayed away from fishing long enough for the guys to strike my interest in real estate again. After returning to Oregon from the Alaska trip, the California agents continued to call and encourage me to get involved in the community college real estate classes. The result was my real estate license in 1991. Again, something I'm very thankful for is that I had the opportunity to do the detailed study classes available through the Oregon Coast Community College. I feel strongly that the intense, broad spectrum real estate courses have benefited me throughout my career. In 1995, I studied for and received my associate brokers license. I feel very strongly about continuing to advance my real estate education. I am a Graduate, Oregon Realtor Institute (GRI). I have also acquired my ABR, Buyers Broker certification, and in 2004 I was successful with meeting the requirements for my Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) certification. I am a member in good standing with the National Association of Realtors, the Oregon Association of Realtors, the Lincoln County Board of Realtors, a subscriber of the local multiple listing service, REALTOR.COM and listings are posted on Zillow, Trulia and the other more popular websites. I am former president and current member of the Pacific Community Hospital Foundation, a board member for the local Realtors Scholarship Committee, and a current member of the Lincoln County Sheriff Search and Rescue Team. I have now called Lincoln County home for over 35 years. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, hiking, fishing and walking the beaches and woods with my dogs Cora and Jack. Rest assured that even when I'm out with the dogs, I'm easy to reach. My promise to you as your real estate agent is that I will work hard to help you achieve your real estate goals. I will advise you of any changes in the market or the laws relating to real estate. I will work to keep you up to date on other properties being sold or new listings in your market area. You can always depend on me to return your call as soon as possible. I am easy to reach at the office, or on my cellular phone. Buying and selling real estate can be very confusing, but with my experience I try to make the process as simple and painless as possible! "Let our experience be your Advantage!" K.
